Relationship Problems

Relationships and their complications are what bring many people to seek help. The lack of relationships, the disappointment with them, the loss of them and the pain they can cause, can make life very difficult.

From the moment we are born we relate to others. The first most important relationship is to our parents. This in turn opens up a network of other relationships to the extended family, to friendships, to authorities and of course to love relationships. In other words our love relationships are based on our earliest perceptions of the relationship with our parents, perceptions that we may not be aware of consciously.

Therapy gives the opportunity to explore these unconscious processes, to work through them and find a more satisfactory way of forming and maintaining relationships.
